Power Mate is a daily performance tea for people whose afternoons matter as much as their mornings. Where coffee spikes hard and drops harder, yerba mate rises gently and holds — because the leaf carries three natural stimulants rather than one. Caffeine for alertness, theobromine for the long plateau, theophylline in trace amounts.
Around 80 mg of caffeine per cup: about two-thirds of a double shot. Enough to start the day, not enough to hijack it.
Certified organic yerba mate and nothing else. No flavourings, no sugar, no fillers. Twenty-five unbleached, plastic-free bags in a recyclable carton, blended and packed in Melbourne.
How to brew: take the kettle off the boil and wait a minute — around 80–85°C. Steep three to five minutes, then lift the bag out rather than squeezing it. One bag has a second, lighter cup in it.
Grassy and gently toasted, closer to a roasted green tea than a herbal. Good black, better with lemon.
